Communal Riots in India! Do not divide the Country

After the independence India faced many communal riots, perhaps riots being every year. But not a single government can stop the riots. Every time political parties blame once another but can’t gave any solution to stop the riots. For the riots Secular parties blame to the communal parties and communal parties blame to the double policy of secular parties but every time only public burned in the fire of riots not the politician.

There is no religion, caste and ideology of a politician. But they always talk about the caste and religion, actually politicians are playing with public by these words, every time politicians won the game and public loses. Not only public loses but a nation lose there culture, identity and sovereignty. Yes these communal riots are the curse for the nation though our nation faced every year these communal riots. I have this detail since 2003 but its enough for the study. (In this detail some small riots, riots on cast system and on due to reservation has not been taken, figures of casualties and injuries is as per government record or nearby actual figures.)

This study has shown that approx every year riots being in India. And there is no progress for stop the riots till today. It’s not a matter which government ruled in the state, Congress, Janata Party, BJP and any others, riots are taking place every now and then. Every time politicians, a part of media, and intellectual, discuss only for the Gujarat riots and Narendra Modi, they don’t argue for other riots.

Yes Narendra Modi was responsible for Gujarat riots but what about 1969 in Gujarat, 1980 in Moradabad (UP), 1984 in Delhi, 1987 in Meerut (UP), 1990 in Bihar, and Maharashtra Every time congress government was ruling in the state and the center also. But it’s not a matter riots are riots and at the time of secular government, there were secular riots, communal government – communal riots.

All governments are blaming to each other, only giving the reason of communal riots not giving the solution to stop this. After the death of Indira Gandhi, there being communal riots in Delhi, and a minister of a government has told that “JAB KOI BADA PED GIRTA HAI TAB DHARTI TO HILTI HI HAI”. Such type of statements has shown the irresponsibility of the politicians.

Public acted foolishly and due to illiteracy and unemployment, they can’t understand strategy of politicians. Try to stop these riots and stop this dirty politics - secular, communal or otherwise. Do not divide the country.

Both Congress and BJP are equally responsible for the communal riots through out the India. Congress can’t claim to be a secular party. At least on seeing the list provided by Brij no body can accept Congress as a secular Party.

Now people are educated to an extent and the tendency to fight with each other in the name of caste or religion is dying slowly. After few decades such practices will be finished completely.

Keep educating India, and these evils will automatically be wiped away.

For your kind information, this most educated section of the society was in the leading role in the Anti Sikh riots and in Gujarat riots.

I don’t think one can actually blame a particular party or a politician for communal riots. And if at all any one has to be blamed then we the people of India should be held accountable.Politics is a dirty game, dividing people on the lines of caste, religion is what politicians do in our country. But the question is how long will we toe the line of political parties? Why do we dance to their tune?We need to understand that we are one people ,indians. Why do we place caste and religion above our nationality? Its time for a reality check !

No doubt politics is dirty game. But Politics is an important part of a parliamentary democracy. This is a typical middle class tendency to shy away from the responsibility of cleansing this dirty political scenario.

Hello Everybody,
Here is good statistics of communal riots by Brij. Really good work. One can observe after the advent of BJP the communal riots are intense. The other riots discussed here not acutely related to religion as BJP does. People’s verdict (the Hindu Majority)in 2004 was against BJP because of its Hindutva policy. 2009 verdict also reflects the same. Hindus want to venerate God and Goddesses in respective deserving places. The don’t want to politicise the religion. The wrong calculation on religion made a big disaster and fiasco to the BJP. Every religious man/woman does his/her religious duties perfectly well in its place. They never bring religion into politics.

An Australian Graham Stanes and his two children were burnt alive. A nun was burnt alive. In Orissa Churches were attacked.

Brij, the oft talked riot is Gujarat. The truth one after the other is being revealed. It is an orchestrated crime.2000 persons were killed, because of the HATE policy.

A politicians worry is a good governance and welfare of the common man.

You are very right Shafee. The fascist Hindutva forces are the chief architect of the communal riots in India.

Approx 2733 persons also killed in delhi due to hate policy.

Hate Policy is the main reason of all communal riots, not only in gujarat.

Brij,

All Indians wish to live as Ram,Raheem and Krishna Karim. They lived so before Rath Yatra which sowed the HATE policy. Please think of blood transfusion in trauma cases. The donor of the blood does not know the recipient, and the recipient does not know the donor. Does any patient question from where the donated blood drawn from whether Hindu,Muslim,Christian,or Sikh? While a simple blood does not know any religion, why tall talk about divisive forces! We religiously distinguished, that is the status of Indias multi ethnicity; but not despised or seperated. By blood we are Indians and by birth to the respective faith.

Well said Shafee
Color of blood is same. Whether, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, rich or poor. But our beloved communal leaders can’t accept this. That’s why people reject their appeal of stronger leader and decisive government.

@Prasad

Give the facts before entering in generalization. The list provided by Brij brings in light many riots that have not been triggered by your so-called fascist Hindutva force. Why don’t you analyze who were behind these riots ? Why are you silent over the dangerous minds breeding in the madrassas ?They are corrupting the minds of Muslims with separatist and divisive ideas but your ”sickular” mind does not want to acknowledge it !!

India has history of riots. But of late it has become fashion of the secular brigade to highlight riots that took place in Gujarat as if that’s the only riot taken place in country ? Yes, I am too sad that Gujarat riots took place. But what’s more pathetic that the riot in Gujarat has become sort of ” poster riot ”.It’s being used as a political tool to serve the vested interest. That’s really very unfortunate.

Hello Everybody,
Is it not a fact that demolition of Babri Masjid is great national disaster.
The pre-independence shrine ought to have been presevered as National Monument. After the demolition of Babri Masjid the aftermath bloodsheds only consumed innocent people;children, women and elderly and it proliferated as a politicised war only among the hate-minded politician on both sides.

While many journalist interviewd the citizens of Ayodhya, they said,”We local Hindus and Muslims live as brothers. Only outsiders come here and bring lot of unwanted issues”.
One never should forget the orchestrated demolition Babri Masjid and Rath Yathra did nothing good to the common people and it paved a path to a wider crime both side as tit for tats.

Even now, it is not too late. Let us be united as brothers as one Nation,One India, Our India and We Indians. Let us inculcate this feeling in all school. The HATE POLICY will diminish.

Never blame Madrasas. Madrasas teach children how to perform prayers (Namaz) as Gurukulam impart basis teaching of Hinduism. Both Madarasas and Gurukulam are very essential where spiritual fundamentals all being taught.

The biggest madaras Darul uloom Deoband,
has expressed its anguish against any kind of terrorism and also vowed to stand with India’s solidarity.
